1. Newbies should focus on making their first dollar online before worrying about advanced traffic tactics. Get your basic tech setup handled first - your website, products, checkout process, etc. Master the foundations before moving on to the fancy stuff, to convert website traffic to sales.

2. Don't make the critical mistake of sending paid traffic to a funnel or offer that isn't ready to convert. Mike considers this a cardinal sin. Always test your funnel with your own list and warm traffic first. If it flops, don't waste money on cold traffic until you optimize it. Website traffic alone isn't enough - it needs to be the right kind of traffic.

3. Play the long game. Don't fixate on immediate sales from the front-end offer. Look at customer value over 30, 60, 90+ days and beyond. Mike says breaking even on ad spend upfront can still be insanely profitable if you have strong backend monetization in place. That's how to convert website traffic into leads and sales over time.
